Avondale ACTion and Avondale Alliance for Racial Justice (AARJ) are pleased to share the news that the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is expanding to Georgia from their Headquarters in Montgomery, Alabama. We are optimistic and enthusiastic that SPLC’s efforts will build on the tenets that have been established in their work for the past 53 years:

Strengthening Democracy

Reducing Incarceration

Eradicating Poverty

Fighting White Supremacy

Community Education and Engagement

Avondale ACTion and AARJ have invited Kory Ward from SPLC to participate in a community wide meet and greet. We are excited that they have accepted. Please come to learn more about their existing plans for Georgia!
