No Kings Protest - March 28th 2026
Why and How to Join the Nationwide Protests this Sat. March 28
The 3rd NO KINGS protests will be held in over 3000 locations nationwide Sat. March 28.
No Kings, No Dictators, No White Supremacy, Defend Democracy, End Cruelty, Support the Rule of Law and Our Constitution
Join a non-violent, peaceful protest near you! There are several in Decatur and Atlanta and other metro areas. See below for where and when or, find one near you at NOKINGS.ORG. Also, please share the No Kings 3 protest information on social media and encourage friends to show up.
Why protest?
America has a long history, rooted in white supremacy, of suppressing the rights of people of color. Oppression and authoritarianism are escalating under the President. But history clearly shows that people-powered movements are how we create change and end authoritarianism. If over 3% of a nation shows up and speaks out, we can create a sea change in attitudes and actions. A tyrant can only rule when he is supported.
Protests encourage others to take action and show them they are not alone. Protests help people find organizations working for social change. Taking action is empowering. Politicians do pay attention to protests and poll numbers.
Last year, millions of Americans came together in nonviolent protest to oppose the Trump administration’s increasingly violent and deadly authoritarian actions. In June, over five million people attended No Kings events, and over seven million people attended local No Kings events last October. This was the largest single day of morally grounded, nonviolent protest by any movement in US history. The world saw that not all of us support this cruel administration. Each time we show up, we disrupt President Trump’s attempts to rule through repression and remind the country, and the world, that people power is our path to a truly free America.
Do you want our Presidents to obey the Constitution and the rule of law or to behave unilaterally like a Dictator or King while enriching themselves, their family and friends? If you want the US to be an actual Democracy, please join the protest.
Protest if you don’t want the white supremacist plans of Project 2025 to be fully implemented that roll back rights of women and anyone who isn’t white. Protest if you don’t want the SAVE Act to be passed which would jeopardize the voting rights of millions of women. Protest the undoing of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs. Protest the erasure of Black and Indigenous history.
Protest if you want the legal rights of immigrants to be enforced, not ignored, and protest detention and deportation without due process of the law. Protest if you don’t support inhumane detention camps. Protest if you don’t support ICE acting like a cruel, unaccountable secret police force controlled by the President.
Protest if you are against this unprovoked war that is costing many lives and billions a day. Protest if you don’t want the rules based world order and the NATO alliance destroyed. Protest if you want peace. Protest if you believe we should obey international law and not commit war crimes. Protest the US striking civilian targets. (Recent polls show 60 percent of Americans disapprove of the United States taking military action against Iran.)
Protest if you want our taxes to pay for social services including health care subsidies instead of giving tax cuts to billionaires and corporations or funding never ending war. Protest the impact of funding cuts to essential institutions like the Centers For Disease Control. Protest if you believe in science not pseudo-science and don’t want to bring disease back. Protest if you support the arts.
Protest if you support the environment, want clean, renewable energy, clean water, air and food, and don’t our progress reversed on saving the climate and our future on this planet.
Protest if you support labor unions and don’t want this administration to bust union power.
Protest if you want to protect our First Amendment right to free speech and peaceful protest.
Protest for your own reasons, for the issues that you care about that are being impacted by this government.

Quotes from leaders about current events and the escalating brutality of this administration:
“In the face of an authoritarian crisis, too many with power have abdicated responsibility, repeated lies, become complicit for profit, or obeyed in advance,” said Bishop William J. Barber, II, President of Repairers of the Breach. “But Americans from every walk of life have come together and built a movement that says, ‘We will not bow.’ At this moment, we must say resistance is essential, but it’s not enough. We’re going to build power loving forward together to reconstruct an America where all of us can thrive.”
“Trump, his administration and this Congress have spent the last year stripping Americans of health care, ending critical human needs programs, defunding basic public services and enabling the greedy interests of the ultra rich, all while funneling tens of billions of dollars to unnecessary immigration enforcement and the military,” said Robert Weissman and Lisa Gilbert, Public Citizen Co-Presidents. “Trump’s authoritarianism, grift and pro-oligarchy agenda is making our country less healthy, free and just. As ICE agents invade cities and towns, targeting and harassing Brown, Black and Asian people because of the color of their skin, brutalizing immigrants, arresting small children, pepper spraying protesters, killing people in detention and on the street, Americans everywhere must peacefully pour into the streets and loudly and say we refuse to live in a kingdom ruled by a wannabe dictator. We the people determine the vision for our country.”
Deirdre Schifeling, Chief Political and Advocacy Officer for the American Civil Liberties Union said, “As a nation, we’ve faced tragedy after tragedy as this administration’s abuses continue to grow by the minute. We won’t sit by as the Trump administration shreds our Constitution, attacks our neighbors, and sends masked agents to terrorize our communities. Peaceful, people-led movements have always led the way for real change. Last year, millions joined us to send a resounding message that we, the people, will not be intimidated by President Trump’s fear tactics. We are at a dangerous moment for our democracy — it’s time to come together again and fight to stay free.”
“Since Inauguration Day, the radical pages of Project 2025 and the fever dreams of America’s corporate billionaires have come to life with a relentless assault on America’s workers,” said AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler. “The Trump administration has committed the single biggest act of union-busting in history, attacked good jobs across the country, launched a brutal assault on immigrants, ripped health care from millions, jeopardized the essential services that working families rely on and threatened our fundamental freedoms. But America’s labor unions have been leading in our courts, on Capitol Hill, and in our streets to fight back-- and our movement will be there on No Kings Day to peacefully and powerfully say that our government doesn’t answer to a king. It answers to working people”
