AARJ Black History Month Art Competition

The Avondale Alliance for Racial Justice (AARJ) announces its first annual Black History Month Art Contest. AARJ seeks youth art to inspire hope in our community as we move towards justice and healing for all. This year’s theme is "The Hill We Climb” inspired by the Amanda Gorman poem.

The contest is aimed at uplifting the voices of youth and is open to any young person ages 5 to 25 who either resides in Avondale Estates or attends a school affiliated with Avondale Estates (Avondale Elementary, Museum School, DESA and DSA, Druid Hills Middle and High Schools.)

Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners whose work will be exhibited online and at Finders Keepers furnishings!

Please support our youth in sharing their feelings, inspirations and visions for change with us all and also consider becoming one of our many event sponsors.

Thank you!
